Keynote Speaker – Jay McSwain is an established author and speaker respected across the country as an expert in church member assimilation. In founding PLACE Ministries in 1997, his commitment to ministers, their families, church leaders and their members thrive in areas of ministries that God has designed them to engage in is unwavering!
For over 30 years, Jay has been helping people discover their unique God-given traits and abilities while helping them maximize their personal effectiveness in both life and ministry.
Jay has served as both a staff member and a volunteer in churches ranging in membership size from 10 to over 9,000 members. Jay received his M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and a member of the 1980 National Championship Football Team.
Jay has written more than ten books and numerous other resources focused on helping the church and it’s members. His latest book, Are You Committed? is an appeal to church leaders in equipping, empowering and encouraging ministry servants. Jay has served as a trustee at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and currently serves as a trustee at Anderson University. Jay is also the Chaplain for the Atlanta Braves Organization, and even finds time in his busy schedule to serve on the staff of his church as the Discipleship Pastor.
Jay and his wife Ginger live in Atlanta, Georgia and have been married for over 20 years. They have two beautiful daughters that love Jesus and love helping others.
