The Greenwood Family YMCA has been teaching people to swim for more than half of a century. In our programs, children learn to be safe around water and they feel the sense of accomplishment that comes with learning something new.
Youth progressive swimming is the YMCA's third most widely offered program nationwide. It uses a problem-solving, guided-discovery teaching approach in a positive, caring environment. Kids can develop lifelong skills that can help them stay healthy.
Greenwood Family YMCA aquatics programs include Swim Lessons (group and private) for all ages, Water Exercise, Arthritis Stretch & Swim Classes, Home School Gym and Swim Classes, Greenwood Gators Swim Team, Masters Swim Program, Lifeguard Certification, Scuba Certification and a YMCA Splash program that benefits over 800 children from Greenwood School District 50 and 51 every school year!
A current pool schedule is kept on our web site's front page.
For more specific information about days & times for classes and lessons, please refer to our new Winter/Spring Brochure.
