intro to the sport unless they have completed

Participant must be of normal health and capable of safe participation. Pregnant women are prohibited from climbing/belaying
Participant must be at least 4 years old and weigh more than 40 pounds. Children ages 7 and under are restricted to bouldering climbing unless they present proof of completing harness school
Participant must follow safety protocol and use climbing calls properly.

Participant must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and be able to use appropriate judgment.
Participant must have harness and hardware inspected prior to each climb by YMCA or other authorized personnel. Participants are restricted from tying/locking themselves into automatic or manual belay.
Participant must use appropriate judgment when encouraging participant. Do not interfere with communication between staff and climber.
Participant must be remove any jewelry that dangles and could get caught.
Participant must be appropriately dressed. Clothing made of slippery fabric could pose a hazard.
Participant must be stretch/warm-up prior to engaging in climbing activity.
