The Camp Greenwood Challenge Course

The Challenge Course consists of the Indoor Climbing Wall, the Alpine Tower, the Team Development Course and the Giant Swing.

Our campers will continue to have opportunities to use the indoor climbing wall.

 The Alpine tower is designed to promote physical fitness, encourage risk taking, and enhance self-esteem.  The ground level team  development course is designed to develop team building and group problem solving skills.  This awesome new apparatus will not only provide loads of fun but also promote character traits such as teamwork, cooperation, and trust. Day camp will have opportunities throughout the summer to experience this exciting new tower and team development course.

 Although the Alpine Tower may be too much for many Discovery campers, the team development course will
give them an idea of what to look forward to when they become Adventure campers.
 

Summer Day Camp Staff

During the spring, our professional staff takes significant time in selecting, hiring and training a group of staff to serve during summer day camp. Camp Greenwood follows standards of the highest quality in the areas of health, safety, staffing, programming, and facility maintenance.  And, by carefully selecting young women and men who embody our strong values, Camp Greenwood hires only the best counselors to be role models for your child.

Contacting Summer Camp

We understand that parents will want and need to speak to camp staff during the summer. While we have YMCA Staff answering our phones, during parts of the day, day camp staff just cannot get to the phone. You are welcomed to leave a voice message at one of our extensions. We will periodically check those voice mailboxes and return calls.

Please limit any calls to staff that require a staff member to leave the campers to urgent calls. And please be patient as we serve your campers and try to get to administrative tasks during certain times of the day.
