Leaders Club

Ages: 12 – 17 years old

A unique program designed for 12 – 17 year olds, Leaders Club gives a chance for teens to develop their character by providing opportunities for service, personal growth and leadership development. Club meeting seek to address the positive development of these area through activities such as team-building, group work, volunteering for YMCA events, shadowing of YMCA program areas, leadership training, and much more. Activities provide a safe haven for young people to become confident and competent adults with a sense of belonging within the YMCA and their community.

Teen leaders are selected based on their level of responsibility, character and desire to actively engage in the program activities. As a prerequisite for joining, potential members must be recommended by staff or Leaders Club member. Participants will be required to attend scheduled meetings and to complete at least 45 hours of service with YMCA programs and events over the course of the school year.
